Davis claims Player of the Week honors after averaging 20.5 points and 11 rebounds per game and leading Michigan State to a pair of victories over ranked opponents last week. Against No. 9/8 Indiana, he shot 8-of-11 from the field (.727) and 7-of-7 from the foul line to finish with 23 points, while also adding a game-high 10 rebounds. In a 62-59 double-overtime victory at No. 19/16 Ohio State, Davis scored 18 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds, including 11 defensive boards, to earn his conference-best 10th double-double of the season, while adding three assists, three blocks and two steals. The Rochester, Mich., native finished the week shooting 15-of-27 from the field (.556) and going a perfect 11-of-11 from the free throw line. Davis currently leads the Big Ten in rebounds with 10.0 boards per game and ranks fifth with 18.5 points per contest. He earns his fifth career Player of the Week accolade as he was also honored earlier this year on Nov. 28, 2005 and claimed weekly laurels on Dec. 13, 2004, Jan. 19, 2004 and Feb. 2, 2004.
