Big Ten Player of the Week
Marco Killingsworth, Indiana
6-8, F, Sr., Montgomery, Ala./Central Park Christian

Killingsworth led the Hoosiers to a share of first place in the conference standings after tallying consecutive double-double performances last week to claim Big Ten Player of the Week accolades. The 6-8 forward opened the week with a game-high 23 points and 12 rebounds as Indiana defeated No. 7/5 Illinois, marking the highest-ranked opponent that the Hoosiers had defeated at home since knocking off then-No. 1 Michigan State, 59-58, on Jan. 7, 2001. Killingsworth followed with another top performance, tallying 18 points and 10 rebounds in a 62-49 victory over Purdue. He finished the week shooting 61.9 percent from the field (13-of-21), while also adding four assists and three blocked shots. With consecutive double-dips against Illinois and Purdue, Killingsworth became the first Hoosier to accomplish that feat since Jeff Newton recorded back-to-back double-doubles during the 2002-03 season. The Montgomery, Ala., native currently leads the Big Ten with three Big Ten Player of the Week honors this season, while also ranking first in scoring with 21.8 points per contest in conference games.
