Haluska earns Co-Player of the Week accolades after leading the Hawkeyes to consecutive wins over ranked opponents last week. In a 73-60 victory over No. 13/11 Indiana, Haluska tallied his first career double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while also going a perfect 9-of-9 from the free throw line. He then scored a team-best 18 points and added seven rebounds in a 67-62 triumph over No. 16/16 Ohio State. Haluska finished the week averaging 19 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. The 6-5 guard currently leads the Hawkeyes with 19 double-figure games this season and ranks sixth in conference only with 17.7 points per contest. Haluska earns his first career weekly accolade and is the first Hawkeye to be named Player of the Week since Jeff Horner was honored on March 7, 2005.

Horton shares Player of the Week honors after quarterbacking the Wolverines to victories over No. 11/12 Michigan State and No. 23/21 Wisconsin last week, marking the first time in 12 years that Michigan has defeated consecutive ranked opponents. Horton closed out the week averaging 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while also tallying a perfect 18-of-18 from the free throw line. With his performance from the line, Horton has remained perfect in the first seven conference games this season, going 38-of-38 from the free throw line, which currently ranks third on the Big Ten's list for most consecutive free thows in league contests only (Indiana's Todd Leary set the record of 46 straight free throws from 1990-94). Against MSU, Horton recorded his fifth 20-plus point game with 23 points on 6-of-12 shooting, while adding five assists. The 6-3 guard followed  with 14 points, five assists, two steals and one block in an 85-76 victory over Wisconsin. The Cedar Hill, Texas, native earns his fourth Big Ten weekly accolade as he was also honored three times during his freshman season (Dec. 30, 2002, Jan. 20, 2003 and Feb. 24, 2003).
