Grier averaged 23 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while leading Minnesota to victories over Michigan and No. 19 Wisconsin last week. He notched a career-high 32 points against the Badgers, the most points of any player in a non-overtime game this season in League play. Grier was 14-of-21 from the field (.667), tallying 26 of his 32 points after halftime. He also added five rebounds and a steal in 38 minutes of action. Earlier in the week, Grier had 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting (.500) with six rebounds and four assists in a 71-54 road victory over Michigan. He currently leads the Gophers and ranks fifth in the Conference in scoring (17.0 ppg), while also ranking sixth in the Big Ten with 1.86 steals per game. Grier earns his first Player of the Week honor and is the first Minnesota standout to earn weekly laurels since Kris Humphries was named Player of the Week on Dec. 8, 2004.
