UW's Tucker Named Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Tucker notched game highs of 27 points and 16 rebounds to lead Wisconsin to a come-from-behind, 78-73, upset over No. 12 Ohio State to claim Player of the Week laurels. Tucker scored 17 of his 27 points in the decisive second half when UW outscored OSU, 50-36. The junior forward, who claimed his third double-double of the season, shot 55.6 percent from the field (10-of-18), while also going 7-of-11 from the free throw line. In addition, Tucker notched two assists, a block and a steal in 40 minutes of action as the Badgers won their third straight game and jumped to a second-place tie in the conference standings. He currently leads the Big Ten with 20.9 points per game in league contests and has scored at least 20 points in eight of 12 conference games. The Lockport, Ill., native earns his second Big Ten weekly accolade as he was also honored on Nov. 21, 2005.
