ROSEMONT, Ill. -- The Michigan State men's basketball team clinched the 2017-18 outright Big Ten Championship after the Spartans defeated Wisconsin at the Kohl Center on Sunday, 68-63. The Spartans (28-3, 16-2 Big Ten) also secured the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, which starts at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, Feb. 28. The Spartans will open play on Friday, March 2.
Michigan State won its 14th conference title, its first crown since 2012 and first outright title since 2009.
Beginning Monday, Feb. 26 at Noon ET, single-session tickets for the 2018 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament will be on sale to the general public. The tournament will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City from Feb. 28 -- March 4, including general admission seating for Wednesday's first-round games.
Single-session ticket prices range from $20 to $135 depending on the session and seat location. Tickets will be available at the Madison Square Garden box office, Ticketmaster.com and MSG.com or charge by phone at 800-745-3000. Orders are limited to eight tickets per session.
The Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament will make its first appearance in New York City in 2018. The tournament begins with two games on Wednesday, followed by four games on Thursday and Friday, the semifinals on Saturday and the championship game on Sunday. Wednesday's games will feature general admission seating except for suites and fan blocks for that university's respective games, allowing fans to witness the action from the best available seats in Madison Square Garden.
