Michigan State's Paul Davis earns his third Player of the Week honor.

Davis claims Player of the Week accolades after averaging 24.0 points and 11.5 rebounds while leading the Spartans to a 1-1 record last week. Against Wisconsin, the senior center shot 9-of-12 from the field and 9-of-10  at the foul line, while scoring 27 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Against Illinois, Davis recorded his 14th double-double of the season, which currently leads the Big Ten, with 21 points and a season-high 14 boards. He closed out the week shooting 62.5 percent from the field (15-of-24) and 85.7 percent from the foul line (18-of-21), while also adding three blocks and three steals. The Rochester, Mich., native earns his third Big Ten weekly accolade of the season as he was also honored on Nov. 28, 2005 and Jan. 16, 2006. He closes out his career with a total of six Big Ten Player of the Week laurels, which ties for the second-most in league history.
