3:34 p.m.: (Purdue 74, Iowa 55) Purdue has advanced to the semifinals and will face top-seeded Ohio State tomorrow afternoon. Check out the live postgame press conference video here.

3:31 p.m.: (Purdue 73, Iowa 55) Both teams have subbed in their reserves. We'll be back in a little while with the evening games.

3:27 p.m.: (Purdue 67, Iowa 53) Attendance for the afternoon session is 18,103. There are a limited number of tickets remaining through Ticketmaster outlets (including and the United Center for the remaining sessions. There are also lmited tickets for the 1st/2nd round NCAA Tournament games to be held here at the United Center next week through those same outlets.

3:24 p.m.: (Purdue 65, Iowa 53) In a tough-fought second half, Purdue is continuing to hold Iowa a a distance and has been maintaining its double-digit lead for the whole half.

3:13 p.m.: (Purdue 60, Iowa 49) Carl Landry continues to lead all scorers in the game with 18 points at the moment. Landry is 5-9 from the field and has hit seven of 11 free throws, along with pulling down nine rebounds.

3:04 p.m.: (Purdue 53, Iowa 40) Update on the foul situation. Both teams have one player with four fouls - Iowa's Cyrus Tate and Purdue's Chris Lutz - and both are currently on the bench. Three others from Purdue and one other from Iowa have three fouls at just under the 12-minute marker of the second half.

2:58 p.m.: (Purdue 52, Iowa 38) Not to be outdone, Purdue's Carl Landry also provided a highlight worthy moment with a solid dunk.

2:56 p.m.: (Purdue 48, Iowa 38) Looby provided another highlight moment with a great finish on an alley-oop feed from Carl Landry.

2:55 p.m.: (Purdue 48, Iowa 36) Purdue had just extended to its largest lead of the game (16 points) before back-to-back baskets by the Hawkeyes.

2:48 p.m.: (Purdue 45, Iowa 32) Second half scoring started a little slower than the first, with Adam Haluska picking up the first basket nearly two minutes into the frame.

2:38 p.m.: Leading scorers at the half for both teams are Carl Landry for Purdue and the Iowa duo of Adam Haluska and Tyler Smith with seven points each.

2:29 p.m.: (Purdue 43, Iowa 30) At the half, Purdue holds a 13-point edge. Halftime entertainment for this contest is Chicago's "Bucket Boys".

2:25 p.m.: (Purdue 43, Iowa 30) Following up on the physicality of the game, The two squads have combined for 25 first half fouls, with at least three players ending the first frame with three fouls already. Currently at that marker are Iowa's Cyrus Tate as well as Purdue's Chris Lutz and Keaton Grant. Five other players have at least two fouls as of now.

2:20 p.m.: (Purdue 38, Iowa 25) This game is proving to be one of the most physical in the tournament so far with two very evenly matched teams wanting a win to emphasize their NCAA credentials.

2:14 p.m.: (Purdue 36, Iowa 24) Another note on shooting. Purdue is 5-7 (71.4%) from behind the three-point arc at the moment while Iowa is 0-4.

2:07 p.m.: (Purdue 31, Iowa 20) The Boilermakers have continued to maintain a hot shooting touch, while the Hawkeyes have cooled off a bit. Iowa has gotten contributions from all over however, with seven of the eight players who have taken the floor today already tallying at least one point.

2:03 p.m.: (Purdue 26, Iowa 19) The Iowa band just played its second selection by Journey today ("Seperate Ways" and "Don't Stop Believing"). We'll keep you informed if they dig any deeper into the catalog.

1:59 p.m.: (Purdue 26, Iowa 16) Tony Freeman just came up with a nice steal ad midcourt, but was fouled before he could convert the basket. He did make his free throws however to get Iowa the two points.

1:54 p.m.: (Purdue 24, Iowa 12) Purdue is continuing to make its shot opportunities, hitting on 56% of its attempts from the field (9-16). Iowa is shooting a percentagewise at this point (60%), but has five less attempts than the Boilermakers.

1:45 p.m.: (Purdue 13, Iowa 10) David Teague is off to a hot start in the game with eight points in the first 6:30 of the game. Teague is 2-2 from three and 3-4 from the field.

1:38 p.m.: (Purdue 9, Iowa 7) Kurt Looby just created a moment of excitement for the Hawkeye fans in the building with his emphatic finish of a loose ball sitting around the rim.

1:37 p.m.: (Purdue 9, Iowa 3) Purdue has continued its hot shooting and is 3-3 from behind the 3-point arc.

1:33 p.m.: (Purdue 6, Iowa 2) Both teams scored on their initial possessions of the game, although Purdue did miss its initial field goal attempt. After that the Boilermakers have hit consecutive three-pointers.
