2:35 p.m. (Ohio State 63, Purdue 52) Ohio State advances to the championship game tomorrow and will face the winner of the Wisconsin-Illinois game that is coming up. Be sure to check out the postgame press conference here.
2:27 p.m. (Ohio State 60, Purdue 50) Purdue closed it back to a single-digit lead following a Chris Kramer free throw, but has its work cut out for it with just over a minute left in regulation.
2:23 p.m. (Ohio State 58, Purdue 47) Oden just set a new career high with 18 rebounds on the defensive end, and followed it immediately with a 19th on the offensive end that ended in an emphatic slam dunk that wowed the United Center crowd.
2:20 p.m. (Ohio State 56, Purdue 47) Ohio State is now out to its largest lead of the game at nine points. Also notable is Oden has tied his career high in rebounds with 17 for the afternoon with 3:40 left to play.
2:18 p.m. (Ohio State 51, Purdue 47) Landry continues to keep Purdue in the game with his most recent bracket that helped stop an OSU run. Landry's 22 points is nearly half of the Boilermakers' total.
2:14 p.m. (Ohio State 50, Purdue 45) As time ticks down on the clock, no serious foul trouble for either team in the final six minutes as it stands now. For OSU, only Oden has three fouls, while Chris Lutz and Tarrance Crump both have three for Purdue.
2:08 p.m. (Ohio State 50, Purdue 45) The intensity level between the teams has stepped up noticeably in the last few minutes with every possession being a battle for the lead. Oden is currently on the bench for OSU having after picking up his third foul.
2:01 p.m. (Ohio State 44, Purdue 43) Ron Lewis regained the lead for OSU with a field goal that he was fouled on, but was unable to score the extra point.
1:57 p.m. (Purdue 43, Ohio State 40) Chris Kramer has put the Boilers on top for the first time his half with his first three-pointer of the game. Carl Landry extended the lead to three with a pair of free throws on the next possession.
1:54 p.m. (Ohio State 38, Purdue 38) David Teague tied the game up again for Purdue with his first points of the second half.
1:48 p.m. (Ohio State 38, Purdue 34) The battle between Landry and Oden is quickly becoming the centerpiece of this game. Oden followed another loose shot around the rim to retake the lead for the Buckeyes. Landry has top scoring honors in the game at the moment with 14 points, but Oden is close behind with 12. Oden has the clear advantage off the boards however with a 12-1 advantage in that area.
1:44 p.m. (Ohio State 34, Purdue 34) As quickly as Ohio State took its lead, Purdue has answered in the form of Carl Landry who has all six points for the Boilermakers in the half and has knotted the game back up.
1:39 p.m. (Ohio State 34, Purdue 30) Ohio State has increased its lead to four in the early going of the second half.
1:34 p.m. The halftime entertainment was the "Firecrackers" a jump roping group.
1:24 p.m. (Ohio State 29, Purdue 28) At the half, OSU retains a one-point advantage. Oden's impressive line at the half: 5-6 FG, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, and 10 points in 17 minutes.
1:23 p.m. (Ohio State 29, Purdue 28) Carl Landry has the unenviable job of trying to cover Oden for Purdue. Landry has put a lot of pressure on him to this point, but did pick up his second foul in the final minute of the half. He also has eight points while being covered by Oden on the other side of the floor.
1:19 p.m. (Purdue 28, Ohio State 26) Purdue's solid shooting from the floor is still continuing with the Boilers hitting 50% of their shots from the field (12-24).
1:15 p.m. (Purdue 24, Ohio State 21) Marcus Green put Purdue back into the lead just ahead of the final scheduled break of the first half with his first three-pointer of the game.
1:10 p.m. (Ohio State 21, Purdue 19) David Teague coninues to lead all scorers for the Boilermakers with eight points and also has collected four rebounds.
1:06 p.m. (Ohio State 17, Purdue 17) Ohio State is still having its struggles getting shots to drop, shooting 33% from the field compared to Purdue's 47%, but have taken nine more shots at this juncture, mostly thanks to a commanding 17-8 lead in rebounds.
1:03 p.m. (Ohio State 17, Purdue 17) Oden just had a beautiful follow through dunk on an OSU FG attempt from out side that fell a little short.
12:59 p.m. (Ohio State 13, Purdue 12) Now at the second break of the half, both team have picked up their offensive intensity. Oden currently has six points and five boards in eight minutes of action, but is taking a short breather on the OSU bench at the moment.
12:55 p.m. (Ohio State 11, Purdue 8) Greg Oden's first four points of the game have given Ohio State its first lead. The Buckeyes are doing significantly better on the boards than in their last contest, currently holding a 10-3 edge in that area.
12:50 p.m. (Purdue 8, Ohio State 5) At the first media timeout, Ohio State has gotten off to a slow shooting start, connecting on two of seven shots over the first four-plus minutes.
12:46 p.m. (Purdue 6, Ohio State 5) Teague is hot early, connecting on both of this three-point attempts so far and accounting for all of Purdue's scoring.
12:42 p.m. (Purdue 3, Ohio State 0) Purdue won the opening tip, and scored the first basket of the game with a three-pointer from David Teague.
12:36 p.m. Starting lineups are now being introduced and are the same as the projected lineups.
