Big Ten Co-Players of the Week
Marco Killingsworth, Indiana
Sr., F, Montgomery, Ala./Central Park Christian
Killingsworth shares Player of the Week accolades after leading the No. 23/22 Hoosiers to a season-opening 99-65 victory over Nicholls State last weekend. The senior forward, who sat out last season after transferring from Auburn, did not disappoint in his long anticipated debut, tallying career highs in points (28), rebounds (13), assists (6) and blocked shots (4). Killingsworth, who earns his first Big Ten Player of the Week honor, shot 12-of-18 from the floor and earned his first double-double as a Hoosier in 33 minutes of action.
Alando Tucker, Wisconsin
Jr., F, Lockport, Ill./Township
Tucker led the Badgers to a pair of victories after averaging 24 points and 9.0 rebounds per game at the Paradise Jam Tournament last weekend. Tucker established a tournament record with a career-high 38 points while adding 10 rebounds for his fifth career double-double in a 95-89 double-overtime victory over Eastern Kentucky. His 38-point performance tied for the fourth-most in UW history and is the most scored by a Big Ten player since former Badger Devin Harris tallied 38 points against Minnesota on Feb. 4, 2004. The Lockport, Ill. native earns his first career Big Ten weekly laurel.
