Illinois got the Big Ten off to a strong start in the final night of the 2004 Big Ten-ACC Challenge with an 18-point win over No. 1 Wake Forest, but Clemson came up with key free throws in the final minute against Ohio State to clinch the Challenge in the second game of the night. On Tuesday, three of the four contests came down to the final minute. In one of the early games, Minnesota fell just short of a win over Florida State.
