Horner led Iowa to victories over No. 12/11 Louisville and No. 15/13 Texas last week, averaging a team-best 21 points and 5.7 assists on his way to All-Tournament honors at the EA Sports Maui Invitational to earn Player of the Week. The junior guard shot 65 percent from the three-point arc (15-23) in the three games, including a 6-of-7 effort against No. 11/12 North Carolina in the championship game, while adding nine rebounds and five assists. He opened the tournament by tallying 18 points versus Louisville before scoring a career-high 27 points in the 82-80 upset over the Longhorns. For the week, Horner connected on 59.4 percent of his shots (19-32). He earns his second Big Ten weekly laurel as he was honored last season on Feb. 9, 2004.
