SaturDAY of Service, Saturday, December 1, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Indiana Sports Corporation and the Local Organizing Committee have partnered with two local organizations to be part of the Big Ten Football Championship Game SaturDAY of Service.
The SaturDAY of Service is an outreach initiative for the Championship Game to have a lasting impact on the local community. The organizing committee will work with alumni groups and fans of all Big Ten universities to provide volunteers at two locations for service-oriented projects on Saturday, December 1.
Volunteers will serve with the following organizations:
Gleaners: Volunteers at Gleaners will sort and package goods to be delivered to organizations and individuals in need around the Greater Indianapolis Area.
American Red Cross: The American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis will be conducting a four hour training to prepare volunteers to be part of their team to set up and work in emergency disaster shelters. This will include class room instruction and hands-on simulations that will prepare and certify you as a first responder and part of the Red Cross' list of emergency shelter volunteers in Central Indiana or in your local chapter.
