Big Ten Teams Conclude Spring Practice

Illinois: The Fighting Illini football team held its annual Spring game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday in front of a crowd of 5,832. The game saw both defenses dominate the first half, only to have the orange offense break out for 21 points in the second half to come out on top of the blue squad 24-6.
Michigan State: Kirk Cousins is showing midseason form, hitting Mark Dell, B.J. Cunningham and Dion Sims for big plays as the Green team beat the White squad 17-10 in Michigan State's spring game.
Minnesota: The University of Minnesota football team wrapped up its spring practice season on Saturday afternoon at TCF Bank Stadium, with the defense taking advantage of a modified scoring system to outscore the offense 49-26 in the annual spring game.
Northwestern: Jeremy Ebert was the offense's brightest light on Saturday, a day that truly belonged to the 'Cat defense. It surrendered a mere 253 yards on 85 plays, an average of just 2.9 ypp. It allowed only 92 rushing yards on 47 carries, an average of an even-punier 1.9 ypc.
Ohio State: The Ohio State gray team defeated the scarlet team, 17-14, in the 2010 Spring Game presented by Nationwide Saturday at Ohio Stadium. A crowd of 65,223 was in attendance on a pleasant but gray day.
Penn State: A pair of freshmen connected on two touchdown passes to lead the Blue to a 17-3 win in the Blue-White Game presented by AAA.
