Big Ten Network's Dave Revsine to Host 38th Annual Kickoff Luncheon

	The Big Ten Network's Dave Revsine will host the 38th annual Kickoff Luncheon.

The Big Ten Conference announced today that Big Ten Network studio host and play-by-play announcer Dave Revsine will emcee the 38th Annual Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon. The largest and most exciting preseason celebration of college football in the country will take place Tuesday, July 28, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Festivities are set to begin at 10 a.m. CT with the annual players and coaches autograph and photo session for fans attending the luncheon. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. CT.

Revsine is entering his third year as the lead studio host for the Big Ten Network. He is the primary anchor for Big Ten Tonight, co-hosts Big Ten Football Saturday and the Big Ten Tip-Off Show and serves as the play-by-play announcer for selected Big Ten men’s basketball games. Beginning this fall, Revsine will host three of the network’s four new football-oriented programs, including Big Ten Football: Breakdown, Big Ten Football: Behind The Schemes and Big Ten Football and Beyond. Revsine was the Big Ten Network’s first on-air hire and also spoke the first words broadcast when the network launched on August 30, 2007. Before joining the network, he spent the previous 11 years at ESPN in a variety of capacities. A native of Chicago, Revsine is a graduate of Northwestern University.

Along with Revsine, each of the 11 Big Ten head football coaches and 33 of the conference’s top returning players will be featured at the Kickoff Luncheon. The complete list of player attendees was announced last week and is available at www.bigten.org.

The Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon annually draws some of the most interesting and talented names in college sports. The list of former Kickoff Luncheon attendees includes coaching legends like Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes, along with each of the Big Ten's Heisman Trophy winners since 1970 - Archie Griffin, Desmond Howard, Eddie George, Charles Woodson, Ron Dayne and Troy Smith. In all, over 700 of the conference's finest players, more than 50 head coaches and nearly 42,000 supporters have made the Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon a yearly stop in their preseason college football schedules.
