The 2011 Big Ten Football Media Days wrapped up on Friday afternoon with the 40th Annual Big Ten Football Kickoff Luncheon. In front of a full house, master of ceremonies and BTN host Dave Revsine discussed the upcoming season with all 12 head coaches. One of the highlights of the afternoon was the speech given by Michigan State senior Kirk Cousins discussing his experiences as and the responsibilities of a student-athlete which received a standing ovation from the crowd. Be sure to check out MSUSpartans.com to listen to Cousins' speech. The complete transcript of the speech can be found here.
In other news at the luncheon, a coin toss was held to determine the home team for the inaugural Big Ten Football Championship game. The Legends division won the toss, and its champion will be the designated home team for the 2011 game. As a reminder, tickets go on sale on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. ET for the championship game.
