Illinois 44, Purdue 10:Nathan Scheelhaase won a matchup of freshmen quarterbacks, rushing for 118 yards and throwing for 195 and four touchdowns Saturday to lead Illinois past Purdue, 44-10.
Purdue quarterback Sean Robinson was 7-20 for 52 yards and a touchdown. The Boilermakers (4-4, 2-2 Big Ten) struggled in a chilly wind and had just 64 yards at halftime.
Northwestern 20, Indiana 17: Dan Persa and the Northwestern offense confounded Indiana all day - even when Persa wasn't making things happen.
The junior quarterback threw two touchdown passes Saturday before leaving midway through the fourth quarter with an apparent concussion, and backup Evan Watkins set up a long field goal that helped the Wildcats hold on for a 20-17 victory at Indiana.
Iowa 37, Michigan State 6: Iowa emphatically knocked Michigan State off the pile of unbeaten teams.
Ricky Stanzi threw three touchdown passes and the 18th-ranked Hawkeyes handed the fifth-ranked Spartans their first loss, stomping the Spartans 37-6 on Saturday.
Penn State 41, Michigan 31: Penn State found the perfect foe to perk up its so-so offense.
Evan Royster ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns, Matt McGloin threw for 250 yards and a score and the Nittany Lions staved off a second-half Michigan rally led by dual-threat quarterback Denard Robinson for a 41-31 win Saturday night.
Ohio State 52, Minnesota 10: With the field of unbeaten teams shrinking, Ohio State is piling up the style points.
Terrelle Pryor threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns and Dan Herron rushed for 114 yards and another score in the first half to lead the 10th-ranked Buckeyes to a 52-10 victory over Minnesota on Saturday.
