Ohio State Claims Outright Leaders Division Title
Nov. 17, 2012
Ohio State clinched the outright Leaders Division title with a 21-14 overtime win at Wisconsin on Saturday. The undefeated Buckeyes boast a 7-0 record in conference play, owning a two-game lead over Penn State with just one game remaining on the Big Ten schedule. Ohio State concludes its season next week with a home matchup against Michigan. The Buckeyes earned their first division title in the second year of Big Ten divisional play. Ohio State is 11-0 overall this season, the third time in the last 11 years the school has reeled off 11 wins to start the season. OSU was a perfect 12-0 in the 2006 regular season before falling in bowl play and produced an unblemished 14-0 record, including a Fiesta Bowl triumph and a national championship, in 2002.
