ROSE BOWL GAME PRESENTED BY CITI
Rose Bowl Ohio State (10-2 overall, 7-1 Big Ten) will play in its fifth straight BCS contest when the Buckeyes return to the Rose Bowl Game for first time since 1997. OSU will make its 14th appearance in Pasadena, Calif., the second-highest number of Rose Bowl Game trips among all Big Ten teams behind only Michigan (20). Ohio State is the nation's only program to qualify for eight BCS games in the 12-year history of the system, as Oklahoma and Southern California rank second with seven BCS trips each. The Buckeyes will face Pac-10 Champion Oregon (10-2, 8-1 Pac-10) in the 96th Rose Bowl Game presented by Citi, which will be played on Friday, Jan. 1, at 4:30 p.m. ET.

FedEx ORANGE BOWL
Orange Bowl Iowa (10-2, 6-2) will meet Georgia Tech (11-2, 7-1) of the Atlantic Coast Conference in the 2010 FedEx Orange Bowl. The Orange bowl will be played Jan. 5 at 7:05 p.m. (CST) in Land Shark Stadium (72,230) in Miami, FL. A sellout is expected. The Hawkeyes tied for second in the Big Ten standings. Georgia Tech earned the Atlantic Coast Conference title with a 39-34 win over Clemson Dec. 5 in the ACC championship game.

VALERO ALAMO BOWL
Alamo Bowl Michigan State (6-6, 4-4 Big Ten) has accepted an invitation to play Texas Tech (8-4, 5-3 Big 12) in the 17th annual Valero Alamo Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas. The Valero Alamo Bowl will be televised nationally by ESPN with kickoff set for 9 p.m. EST.

CAPITAL ONE BOWL
Capital One Bowl The Nittany Lions and Tigers are set to tangle in the 64th renewal of the Capital One Bowl. Penn State (10-2) and LSU (9-3) today were selected for a clash of national powers in the Capital One Bowl. The contest will be played January 1, 2010 at Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium (65,438) in Orlando, Fla. The game will kick at 1:00 p.m. ET and air on ABC, Sports USA Radio and the Penn State Sports Network.

OUTBACK BOWL
Outback Bowl Northwestern University has accepted a bid to play in the 24th annual Outback Bowl, Friday, Jan. 1, 2010 in Tampa, Fla. The Wildcats (8-4), the Big Ten Conference representative, will play Auburn University (7-5), the Southeastern Conference representative, at 10 a.m. CST (ESPN HD, ESPN Radio, WGN 720 AM, WNUR 89.3 FM) at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. The Wildcats are making their first appearance in the Outback Bowl while the Tigers are making their third appearance, and their first in 14 years.

INSIGHT BOWL
Insight Bowl Minnesota's invitation to play in the 2009 Insight Bowl marks the Golden Gophers' ninth bowl berth in the last 11 seasons, the program's 14th overall postseason bowl appearance and its second in a row under third-year head coach Tim Brewster. The game will also be Minnesota's third trip to Sun Devil Stadium to play in the Insight Bowl in the last four years - the Gophers played in the 2006 and 2008 games - and 26th time the Gophers will face off with long-time border rival Iowa State.

CHAMPS SPORTS BOWL
Champs Bowl Wisconsin will face Miami (9-3 overall, 5-3 ACC Coastal Division) in the 2009 Champs Sports Bowl on Dec. 29 at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando, Fla. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CST. ESPN will televise the game live. This marks Wisconsin's 21st bowl appearance, including its eighth in a row. Wisconsin is 1-2 all-time against Miami.
