The spring portion of the 2012-13 Big Ten men’s golf schedule gets underway on Saturday, with Illinois traveling to Placida, Fla., to compete in the Tinervin Cup. The remaining 11 conference teams begin spring play a week later at the Big Ten Match Play Championship.
All 12 conference squads will compete in the Big Ten Match Play Championship, scheduled for Feb. 8-9 at the Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla. The 2013 schedule winds down with the Big Ten Championships on April 26-28 at French Lick Resort in French Lick, Ind., followed by NCAA Regionals on May 16-18 and the NCAA Championships on May 28-June 2.
Three Big Ten teams closed the fall season ranked in the Golfweek/Sagarin top 50. Illinois led the pack at No. 17, followed by No. 31 Northwestern and No. 43 Indiana.
