Richardson earns his first career and the League's first Golfer of the Week award of the 2005 season.  The Boilermaker sophomore led Purdue to a 10th-place finish at the SunTrust Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., last week.  Richardson scored rounds of 72-70-72 on the par 70, 6,701-yard layout.  His total of 214 earned him a tie for ninth place overall.  The 83rd-ranked player in the nation was the top Big Ten finisher in the field as Ohio State also competed in the event.

Richardson is the first Boilermaker to earn Golfer of the Week honors since Shiv Kapur on March 19, 2004.
