Big Ten Golfer of the Week:
Brad Hopfinger, Iowa
Jr. - Lake Forest, Ill. - Lake Forest

Junior Brad Hopfinger, ranked 59th in Golfweek's collegiate polls, went 3-1 at the Callaway Collegiate Match-Play Championships in Marana, Ariz., last week to lead the 13th-seeded Hawkeyes to a fifth-place finish. Sitting in Iowa's number one spot, the Lake Forest, Ill., native bettered three of the nation's top-100 collegiate golfers to propel Iowa over No. 14 Arizona State, No. 11 UNLV and most impressively, No. 2 Stanford. Hopfinger began with a one-up win over ASU's Jesper Kennegard, currently ranked 17th in the nation. He then beat 84th-rated Riley Arp of Colorado State 2 & 1, before crushing Stanford’s fourth-ranked Sihwan Kim 6 & 5. The selection marks the first weekly laurel for Hopfinger and the first for a Hawkeye golfer since 2007.

Last Iowa Golfer of the Week: Jon Feldick (March 28, 2007)
