Ohio State and Purdue Reel in Weekly Men's Golf Accolades

Men's Co-Golfers of the Week Ohio State's Brad Smith earned first place at the FAU Spring Break Championship to lead the 24th-ranked Buckeyes to a first-place finish and give him his second career Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor. Smith shot an 8-under 208 during the 54-hole tournament en route to medalist honors for the first time in his career. The senior shot a 1-under 71 in the first round, following with 2-under 70 in round two. He concluded the event with a 5-under 67 in the third round, marking his lowest score this season. Last Ohio State Golfer of the Week: Bo Hoag (March 11, 2009) William Sjaichudin, Purdue Purdue's William Sjaichudin collects his second Big Ten weekly award in as many weeks after taking medalist honors at the Butler Spring Invitational. The first-place finish, Sjaichudin's second in a row, helped the 44th-ranked Boilermakers earn their third victory of the season. Sjaichudin shot an 8-under 136 in the 36-hole competition, finishing six strokes ahead of the second-place finisher. The junior opened the tournament with a 6-under 66, following with a 2-under 70 to claim first place.
