BALTIMORE - Illinois owns a 14-stroke lead over the field after carding an opening-round total of 11-under par 269 on Friday in the Big Ten Men's Golf Championships at Baltimore Country Club. Ohio State sits in second place after firing a team total of 283, followed by third-place Purdue (284), Northwestern in fourth place (286) and fifth-place Penn State (287).

Illinois' Dylan Meyer fired a 7-under 63, setting a new Big Ten Championships and Baltimore Country Club record. Minnesota's Thomas Longbella sits in second place after carding a 4-under 66, while the Fighting Illini's Nick Hardy shot an opening round 67 (-3). Five players are tied for fourth place at 1-under par.

Second-round action from Baltimore Country Club will get underway on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. ET.
