WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - After posting a team total of 288 (E) in the second round, Illinois has taken the lead at the Big Ten Men's Golf Championships. The Illini hold a five-shot advantage over Iowa, which sits in second place after shooting a 9-over 297 as a team in round two. Penn State remains in third, trailing Illinois by 15 strokes. The Hawkeyes' Chris Brant held his first-place position individually, maintaining his score of 5-under through 36 holes.

Purdue's Adam Schenk fired the low round of the day, shooting a 5-under 67 to lead the field. Illinois' Luke Guthrie and Michigan State's Chris Mory sit in a tie for second individually at 1-under.

Tee times for Saturday's third round begin at 9 a.m. ET and conclude at 10:30 a.m.
