Illinois Holds First Round Lead at Big Ten Championships

After the first round of play at the 2010 Big Ten Men’s Golf Championships at the Windsong Farm Golf Club on Friday, Illinois fired a team total of 281 and holds a five-stroke lead. Michigan is in second place with a 286, while Iowa is third with a 288 total and Indiana is fourth with a 289. In the individual medalist race, Northwestern’s David Lipsky finished with a four-under 67 in the first round, two strokes ahead of second-place contenders Jack Schultz of Michigan, Bo Hoag of Ohio State and Barrett Kelpin of Iowa.
