Following the second round of play at the Big Ten Championships hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Windsong Farm Golf Club, Illinois extended its lead in the team standings and is now 12 strokes up on the field as they head to Saturday's third round. The Illini fired a second round total of 281 and is six-under par for the championships. Iowa is second with a six-over par 574, three strokes ahead of third-place Purdue.

Illinois' Zach Barlow ended Friday as the individual leader, firing a 66 in the second round and is six-under for the championships. He is trailed by Ohio State's Bo Hoag, who is four-under par and Iowa's Barrett Kelpin, who is at four-under par.
