After the first 18 holes of action during NCAA Regional play, Illinois garners the conference’s highest position with a fifth-place showing in the Northeast region. Minnesota sits in the ninth position followed by Penn State as the Nittany Lions are tied for 11th. In the Southwest Regional, Michigan holds down the seventh spot after the first round of play while in the South Central Regional, Northwestern is tied for eighth and Michigan State is tied for 10th. Ohio State is the lone Big Ten school in the South Regional as the Buckeyes are in ninth place. Iowa and Indiana represent the Southeast as the two hold down the 10th and 14th positions, respectively.
