Action Begins at the 2009 NCAA Men's Golf Championships

Play at the 2009 NCAA Men's Golf Championships began today with the first 18 holes of action.  Five Big Ten squads will battle for the national crown in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Northwestern and Ohio State.  This year's event will be a match play format to determine the NCAA champion.  The top eight teams after Thursday's round will advance to the quarterfinals on Friday.  The individual medalist will be crowned after the first 54 holes on Thursday.

7 a.m. • 2nd Round (156 players) • 30 teams

Thursday, May 28
7 a.m. • 3rd Round (156 players) • 30 teams
Individual Champion crowned following Thursday

Friday, May 29
Match play begins
7 a.m. • Quarterfinal matches off 1st tee
2 p.m. • Semifinal matches off 1st tee

Saturday, May 30
