After the first 18 holes of action at the 2009 NCAA Men's Golf Championships, Ohio State fronts the Big Ten group as the Buckeyes are tied for sixth with a score of 294 (+10).  Michigan is close behind in ninth place with a tally of 296 (+12) while Northwestern is tied for 12th, shooting a first round score of 298 (+14).  The Fighting Illini posted a 299 (+15) after Day 1 as they sit tied for 15th.  Iowa rounds out the conference fivesome in tied for 18th place with a 18-hole tally of 301 (+17).  Individually, Illinois' Scott Langley is tied with five other players for first place with a score of 69 (-2).
