Big Ten men's golf concluded Round One of the NCAA Golf Championships on Tuesday, with Iowa tied for sixth place heading into the second round. The Hawkeyes carded a 6-over 290 on day one, sitting five strokes off the pace. Illinois fired an 11-over 295, pitting the Illini in a tie for 15th place.
The Illini's Thomas Pieters and the Hawkeyes' Joseph Winslow both shot 2-under 69's to lead the conference.
