The 2013-14 Big Ten men's golf season officially begins this weekend with five conference teams taking to the course for the first competition of the fall.
From Sunday through Tuesday, Indiana and Ohio State will participate in the Northern Intercollegiate in Sugar Grove, Ill. On Sunday and Monday, Minnesota will host the Gopher Invitational in Independence, Minn., with conference foes Michigan State and Penn State also competing in the field.
Illinois and Northwestern will begin the season at the Fighting Illini Invitational in Olympia Fields, Ill., Sept. 13-15. Iowa will compete in the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Burlington, Iowa, from Sept. 15-16, while Purdue heads to the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate in Normal, Ill., from Sept. 15-17. Michigan and Nebraska are set to compete in the Wolverine Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich., from Sept. 16-17.
Wisconsin will begin its season at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Zionsville, Ind., Sept. 21-22.
