Illinois and Indiana Earn Weekly Men's Golf Honors

Illinois' Thomas Pieters and Indiana's Chase Wright have been named Big Ten Co-Golfers of the Week.

  • Finished in first place at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational with a 54-hole score of 209 (-7)
  • Opened the tournament with a personal-best score of 6-under 66, following with a 1-under 71 in Round 2 and an even-par 72 in the third round
  • Led Illinois to third place in the 12-team field
  • Earns his first weekly Big Ten honor

  • Took second place at the Firestone Invitational, carding a 7-under 209 in the 54-hole tournament
  • Shot an even-par 72 in the opening round, followed by a 4-under 68 in Round 2 and a 3-under 69 in the final round
  • Helped Indiana tie for first place in the team standings
  • Collects his third Golfer of the Week award
