In his Penn State debut last Saturday against Army, Aronovich won two individual event titles to help the Nittany Lions to a 341.000-314.350 win over the visiting Black Knights. Aronovich scored a 14.200 on the pommel horse, then a 14.300 on the parallel bars in his individual event victories. After enrolling at Penn State two weeks ago and being just three weeks removed from a compulsory stint in the Israeli Army, the freshman was recognized with the Gene Wettstone Award, presented at each Penn State home meet to the meet's most outstanding competitor. It is the first weekly honor for Aronovich.
