Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Begins 2018 Slate This Weekend

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The 2018 Big Ten men’s gymnastics season will begin this weekend, with Penn State competing in their first meet on Friday. Penn State, which is ranked No. 7 in the College Gymnastics Association Preseason Coaches’ Poll, opens the 2018 season in West Point, N.Y., for the West Point Open.

The six remaining Big Ten schools will open their season on Saturday. Defending Big Ten Champion No. 3 Ohio State and No. 6 Nebraska travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. for the Rocky Mountain Open. While No. 4 Minnesota, No. 5 Illinois, No. 8 Iowa and No. 9 Michigan will compete at the Windy City Invitational in Chicago.

The first Big Ten dual meet of the season is set for Jan. 20, with Nebraska welcoming Ohio State. Last season, Ohio State captured its second consecutive, and 14th, Big Ten title. The 2018 Big Ten Championships will be hosted by Michigan and will take place April 6-7 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
