Big Ten Gymnast of the Week
Willie Ito, Ohio State

Ito tallied two first-place finishes last week, while leading Ohio State to a win over Illinois in dual-meet action to earn Gymnast of the Week accolades. The Huntington Beach, Calif., native placed first on both the parallel bars (9.700) and high bar (9.700) against the Fighting Illini. His score of 9.700 on the parallel bars also marked a career high. Ito, who is currently ranked first in the GymInfo Rankings for the high bar (9.650), earns his first weekly laurel and becomes the first Buckeye be named Gymnast of the Week since former teammate Randy Monahan was honored on March 1, 2005.
