Ohio State's Bateman and Penn State's Klurman Share Weekly Honor

Men's Co-Gymnasts of the Week Jake Bateman, Ohio State Bateman collects his second consecutive weekly honor after earning wins in two of the three events he competed in against Temple and Navy on Feb. 2. The junior took first place in the still rings with a score of 15.05 and collected another title in the parallel bars scoring 15.25. Bateman also had a fourth place finish on the pommel horse. This is Bateman's second career weekly honor. This is the first time Ohio State has had back-to-back weekly accolades since Randy Monahan on Jan. 14 and 21 of 2004.
Klurman won two tiles and had personal season-high scores in three events as No. 1 Penn State defeated No. 8 Minnesota on Saturday. Klurman collected his highest score of the day in his vault win with a 16.100 to beat the top-ranked vaulter in the country, Mitchell May of the Golden Gophers. The senior also took first place in the still rings with a 15.350 mark. He finished his day by placing second in the parallel bars. This is Klurman's first career weekly laurel.
