Haagensen, last year's Big Ten Gymnast of the Year, produced his best meet of the season to help lift Illinois past No. 5 Michigan. On senior day in Champaign, Haagensen took home top marks in the all-around (89.600) and the parallel bars (14.950). His all-around total tied him for the fifth-highest score set by any gymnast in 2008 and set a new career high. The Belleville, Ill., native also placed second on the high bar and took third on the floor and rings. Haagensen now has 15 top-three finishes on the year, which includes four individual titles.
