Ohio State Wins Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Championship

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Ohio State men's gymnastics team captured the 2017 Big Ten Championship at State Farm Center in Champaign, Ill., on Friday. The Buckeyes secured their second consecutive Big Ten title and 14th overall.

Ohio State totaled 418.600 team points, followed by second-place Illinois (416.400) and third-place Minnesota (413.300). Penn State finished fourth (411.200), Nebraska placed fifth (410.000), Iowa came in sixth (402.150) and Michigan rounded out the team standings in seventh place with 401.250 points.

The Buckeyes' Sean Melton captured the Big Ten all-around title for the second consecutive season after tallying a score of 85.050. Ohio State's Jake Martin placed second in the all-around with 83.300 points, while Nebraska's Anton Stephenson finished third with 82.350 points.

The final session of the 2017 Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Championships, featuring the individual event finals, is set for Saturday beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The top 10 individual finishers in each of Friday's events advance to Saturday's finals, which will air live on BTN.
