NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Championships

ROSEMONT, Ill. – All seven Big Ten men’s gymnastics teams will begin competition at the NCAA Championships on Friday, hosted at the Holleder Center’s Christl Arena on the campus of the U.S. Military Academy (Army West Point).

The championships qualifier, which consists of two pre-qualifying sessions, will take place on Friday. The top three teams and top three all-around competitors from non-advancing teams, along with the top three individuals on each event not qualified on a team or as an all-around competitor, will advance to the finals session on Saturday.

At 1 p.m. ET Friday, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State and Penn State will compete in the first pre-qualifying session, while Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota will participate in the second pre-qualifying session at 7 p.m. Team, all-around and event finals will take place on Saturday. All sessions will be streamed online at NCAA.com.

Last season, Ohio State took third at the NCAA Championships, posting a score of 433.050, while Illinois placed fourth (432.750) and Penn State took fifth (425.400). Michigan's Anthony McCallum won a national title in the vault with a score of 15.550 while Illinois' Brandon Ngai won the pommel horse with a score of 15.450.
