Reigning NCAA and Big Ten Champion Michigan earned the top billing in the 2014 Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference office announced on Thursday. The Wolverines, who have captured 16 Big Ten titles, were followed by No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Illinois, No. 4 Penn State and No. 5 Minnesota. Iowa and Nebraska were ranked sixth and seventh in the preseason poll, respectively.

The Big Ten also announced the Gymnasts to Watch List, with three All-Big Ten honorees returning for the 2014 campaign. Illinois' Fred Hartville and Michigan's Adrian de los Angeles were first-team All-Big Ten selections last season, while Minnesota's Ellis Mannon was named to the All-Big Ten second team.

Two seniors headline the list, including Iowa's Matt McGrath and Michigan's Dylan James, while Minnesota junior Steve Jaciuk also returns for the 2014 season.

Sophomore Gymnasts to Watch include Illinois' C.J. Maestas, Iowa's Jack Boyle and Ohio State's Jake Martin. Penn State's Trevor Howard, the 2013 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, also returns alongside teammate Alexis Torres. Three freshmen were also named to the list: Nebraska's Austin Epperson and Travis Gollott and Ohio State's Sean Melton.
