• Four Big Ten teams were selected to participate in the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Championship, with Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State earning bids.

• Big Ten regular season and tournament champion Notre Dame returns to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season and the 10th time in program history. The Fighting Irish will be the No. 1 seed in the East Regional in Bridgeport, Conn., and will face No. 4 seed Michigan Tech on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. ET on Friday, March 23 at Webster Bank Arena. Notre Dame reached the Frozen Four last year in Chicago, marking the third Frozen Four appearance in program history.

• Ohio State is the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Regional in Allentown, Pa., and will face No. 4 seed Princeton on ESPNU at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 24 at PPL Center. Ohio State is making its eighth NCAA Tournament appearance and its second in as many years. The Buckeyes have reached the Frozen Four once, doing so in 1998.

• Michigan earned the No. 2 seed in the Northeast Regional in Worcester, Mass., and will face No. 3 seed Northeastern on ESPN3 at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 24 at DCU Center. Michigan is making its 37th NCAA Tournament appearance and its first since 2016. The Wolverines have won a Division-I record nine national championships.

• Penn State is the No. 3 seed in the Midwest Regional, scheduled for March 24-25 at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pa. The Nittany Lions, who are serving as the host for the Midwest Regional, will take on No. 2 seed Denver on ESPN3 at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 24. Penn State will be making its second-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament and second in as many years.

• Cam Morrison scored 9:23 into overtime to give host Notre Dame a 3-2 victory over Ohio State in the championship game of the Big Ten Tournament last Saturday. Notre Dame became the fifth different school to win the Big Ten Tournament in its five years of existence, joining Wisconsin (2014), Minnesota (2015), Michigan (2016) and Penn State (2017).

• Sophomore goalie Cale Morris from Notre Dame was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Big Ten Tournament after posting a .955 save percentage and 1.86 goals-against average in the tournament. A full list of all-tournament honors and tournament results can be found on Page 2.

• Notre Dame's Cale Morris has been named one of the 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, presented annually to college hockey's top player. Morris leads the nation with a .946 save percentage and is tied for the national lead with 23 victories. The Hobey Hat Trick (three finalists) will be announced on March 29 and the Hobey Baker Award winner will be announced on April 6 during the NCAA Frozen Four.

• Morris and Ohio State's Sean Romeo were named among the 10 semifinalists for the 2018 Mike Richter Award, which honors the most outstanding goaltender in NCAA men’s hockey. The five finalists for the fifth annual award will be announced on March 22, with the winner presented on April 6 at the 2018 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four in St. Paul, Minn.

• Michigan's Sam Piazza and Notre Dame's Jake Evans have been named among the 10 men's hockey finalists for the 2017-18 Senior CLASS Award. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS Award honors the attributes of senior students in four areas: community, classroom, character and competition.
