• Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State will represent the Big Ten at the 2018 Frozen Four April 5 and 7 at Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minn. The Wolverines will face the Fighting Irish at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 5, while the Buckeyes will take on Minnesota Duluth at 9:30 p.m., with both games carried live on ESPN2. The winners will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, for the national championship on ESPN.

• Michigan earned a 6-3 win over Boston University at the DCU Center on March 25 in the NCAA Northeast Regional final. Michigan advanced to the Frozen Four for the first time since 2011 and the 25th time in program history, which ties Boston College for the most Frozen Four appearances.

• On March 24 in the NCAA East Regional final, Dylan Malmquist scored with 27 seconds remaining to give the Irish a 2-1 victory over Providence. Notre Dame advances to its second consecutive Frozen Four and its fourth overall.

• Ohio State defeated defending NCAA Champion Denver 5-1 in the Midwest Regional final on March 24 in Allentown, Pa., to advance to the NCAA Frozen Four for the second time in program history and first time since 1998.

• Notre Dame head coach Jeff Jackson was named the winner of the 2018 Spencer Penrose Award as Division I Men's Ice Hockey CCM/AHCA Coach of the Year on Tuesday. It is the second such honor for Jackson as his peers bestowed this award on him back in 2007 as well. He will receive his award on April 25 at the American Hockey Coaches Association's annual convention in Naples, Fla. Ohio State head coach Steve Rohlik, the 2017-18 Big Ten Coach of the Year, was the runner-up for the national honor.

• Notre Dame's Cale Morris was named among the five finalists for the 2018 Mike Richter Award, which honors the most outstanding goaltender in NCAA men's hockey. The winner will be presented on April 6 in Saint Paul.

• The Buckeyes' Kevin Miller leads the NCAA tournament field in goals per game, netting an average of 1.50 goals per outing.

• Michigan's Sam Piazza and Notre Dame's Jake Evans have been named among the 10 men's hockey finalists for the 2017-18 Senior CLASS Award. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS Award honors the attributes of senior students in four areas: community, classroom, character and competition.

• Cam Morrison scored 9:23 into overtime to give host Notre Dame a 3-2 victory over Ohio State in the championship game of the Big Ten Tournament on March 17. Notre Dame became the fifth different school to win the Big Ten Tournament in its five years of existence, joining Wisconsin (2014), Minnesota (2015), Michigan (2016) and Penn State (2017).

• Sophomore goalie Cale Morris from Notre Dame was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Big Ten Tournament after posting a .955 save percentage and 1.86 goals-against average in the tournament.
