Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Chris Rombough, Minnesota
Rombough recorded a new Minnesota school record in the 3,000-meter run this past Saturday at the Jack Johnson Classic. His time of 8:00.66 provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Championships meet in March and serves as the top mark in the country so far this season. Rombough pulled away from teammate and 2008 Big Ten Cross Country Athlete of the Year Hassan Mead in the last lap to secure the win.
