Jefferson broke a 23-year-old school record in the mile with a career-best time of 3:56.44 as he finished in first place at the Meyo Invitational. The senior bettered Jim Spivey's time of 3:57.04 set in 1982 at the TAC Championships, to earn an NCAA automatic qualifying standard and post the second best indoor time of the season. The Delray Beach, Fla., native picks up his first weekly honor of his career.
Nick Willis, Michigan

Willis ran the nation's fastest 3,000-meter time of the season in his first competition since mid-October. The junior clocked a 7:48.65 as he dominated the 22-man field to win the event at the Meyo Invitational last weekend. Willis finished over two seconds ahead of the runner-up and secured his spot at nationals as he bettered the automatic qualifying standard of 7:56.00. The New Zealand native collects his third weekly accolade of his career.
