Led by strong team performances in the 5,000-meter run, the triple jump, and the 3,000-meter run, the University of Wisconsin won the title at the 2005 Big Ten Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships held Feb. 26-27 at the Lambert Fieldhouse on the campus of Purdue University. The championship was the fifth straight for the Badgers and eighth in the past 11 years. While Wisconsin's winning total was 144.5 points, Indiana finished second with 105.5 points. Illinois (96), Michigan (88), and Minnesota (80) rounded out the top five in the team standings.

All ten Big Ten squads will be in action this weekend as they have one last opportunity to earn NCAA qualifying standards before the Championships next weekend in Fayetteville, Ark. Iowa will compete at the Last Chance Qualifying meet hosted by Iowa State while all other League teams will attend the Alex Wilson Invitational at the Loftus Sports Center in South Bend, Ind.
