PARK RIDGE, Ill. - The Indiana and Northwestern men's soccer teams each received spots in the NSCAA/adidas Preseason National Rankings released on Tuesday. The Hoosiers enter the 2007 campaign at No. 7 while the Wildcats come in at No. 14.

Indiana made its 20th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship last season, advancing to the third round as the No. 7 seed. Head Coach Mike Freitag's Hoosiers return eight of 11 starters from last year, including Big Ten Freshman of the Year Darren Yeagle.

Northwestern advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2006, falling in a 3-2 decision to eventual national champion UC-Santa Barbara. Head Coach Tim Lenahan welcomes back seven of last year's starting 11, including All-Big Ten first-team member David Roth.

The 2007 Big Ten men's soccer season gets underway on Friday, August 31 with all seven conference squads in action.
