Two Big Ten men's soccer squads have been voted to the 2006 NSCAA/adidas Preseason Poll which was released Aug. 15. Indiana earned the No. 12 spot while Penn State was ranked 13th.
Indiana's 2005 season saw the Hoosiers go 2-1-3 in the Big Ten, 13-3-6 overall and advance to second round of the NCAA Tournament. IU has qualified for post-season play 28 consecutive times and boasts seven national championships.
Penn State received the 13th-place nod after capturing both the regular season and Big Ten Championship titles last season with an undefeated 6-0-0 conference mark and a 13-7-2 overall record.
Regular season play is scheduled to begin Fri., Aug. 25, with all seven conference squads in action.
