PARK RIDGE, Ill. - All seven Big Ten men's soccer teams will compete in the ShindigZ National Soccer Festival's Soccerpalooza next weekend in Fort Wayne, Ind. The preseason event will feature 20 collegiate men's soccer teams squaring off at the Hefner Sports Complex.
The Big Ten portion of the event begins on Friday, Aug. 27, when Wisconsin takes on Loyola Chicago at 6 p.m. ET and Indiana faces Duke at 8:10 p.m. ET. The action continues on Saturday, when Penn State faces Louisville at 6 p.m. ET, Michigan takes on Evansville at 7:10 p.m. ET and Ohio State meets Notre Dame at 8:10 p.m. ET.
The event concludes on Sunday, with Michigan State facing Duke at 11 a.m. ET, Indiana playing their second game of the competition against Denver at 12 p.m. ET and Northwestern taking on Butler at 1 p.m. ET.
The Big Ten men's soccer regular season kicks off on Wednesday, Sept. 1, when Michigan hosts Detroit Mercy. Indiana, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State and Penn State begin play on Friday, Sept. 3, while Wisconsin opens its 2010 slate on Saturday, Sept. 4.
