Big Ten men’s soccer teams hit the pitch for the first matches of the 2012 season this weekend. Three teams begin the season on their home fields, while four squads start the season on the road.
Friday’s matches begin with Michigan State welcoming Valparaiso at 5 p.m. ET and Dayton hosting Ohio State at 7 p.m. ET. At 8 p.m. ET, Wisconsin and Michigan travel to Memphis and No. 5 USF, respectively. No. 12 Indiana faces St. Louis at 8 p.m. ET in the Hoosier’s first match of the St. Louis Tournament.
On Saturday Penn State and No. 20 Northwestern both welcome teams to their fields, as the Nittany Lions face Stetson at 7 p.m. ET and the defending Big Ten Champion Wildcats take on Xavier at 8 p.m. ET.
